Spinergy was founded in 1983 as GR Associates by Mary and Gary Reeves to provide packaging materials and support to the software industry. Continued growth of the company first led to the addition of assembly, warehousing and distribution services, and later to the addition of in-house screen printing, CD-R/DVD-R/Blu-ray/USB duplication, CD-ROM replication services and direct to disc digital printing.
The company re-branded itself as Spinergy in 2002 to better reflect the company's focus on providing integrated media, packaging and distribution services. As part of Spinergy's overall commitment to quality, the company undertook an extensive review and standardization of all processes to become an ISO certified company for the first time in 2007. In 2009, Spinergy relocated to its current location, an 80,000 square foot manufacturing, printing and warehouse facility.
